Hidden behind the NBA’s laughingstock is one of its best-kept secrets.
At least that’s what the Nets are right now. Nevertheless, that has a chance to change in the coming days and weeks as a national audience gets exposed to one of the more exciting teams in the NBA this postseason.
Sarah Kustok has witnessed the team’s climb from the depths of the doomed trade with the Celtics to the point it has reached now, a potentially dangerous foe for the 76ers in the first round of the playoffs.
“In all my years covering the NBA and sports, I am not sure I’ve seen quite this type of closeness and chemistry with a group in how they play for each other on the court and care for each other off the court,” said Kustok, the former sideline reporter who is in her second season as YES Network’s full-time analyst.
