Who is Tony Brown, the Nets interim coach ... other than their fifth coach in five years and their eighth coach in seven years. He's a former Net, for one thing, having played for the team in 1986-87 after being drafted, then waived, in 1982. He was also Lionel Hollins' defensive coach for the past two years.
This is Brown's second season with the Brooklyn Nets after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks under Rick Carlisle. Brown has also served as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Clippers (2009-10), Milwaukee Bucks (2007-08), Boston Celtics (2004-07), Toronto Raptors (2003-04), Detroit Pistons (2001-03) and Portland Trail Blazers (1997-2001).
