Jason Day's incredible year nearly came to a crashing end on Thursday night, when his wife was plowed over in a scary collision with Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James as he tried to save a loose ball from going out of bounds.
Day, the No. 2-ranked golfer in the world, won the PGA Championship this year for his first major win on the PGA Tour. On Nov. 11, Ellie Day gave birth to the couple's second child, a girl named Lucy.
But James nearly ended the celebration.
Unable to stop himself, he launched his 250-pound body into the courtside seats, with no idea he'd just steamrolled Day's wife, sending her to the hospital during the fourth quarter of the Cavaliers' 104-100 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
