Despite 20-point games from three players —including a season-high from sixth man Jordan McLauglin— the Long Island Nets (7-3) lost to the Lakeland Magic 130-124 Sunday. It was the Nets’ first home loss and their first loss on the YES Network.
McLaughlin came off the bench and scored 29 points, handed out five assists, stole the ball three times and grabbed two boards in 24 minutes. The 6’1” USC product hit all nine of his free throws and shot 9-of-12 from the floor.
Mitch Creek scored 24 points, shooting 10-of-15 from the floor, and grabbed four boards.
