This isn’t the full-court press that resulted in the Hamptons Five, but the Golden State Warriors will do what they can to try to keep Kevin Durant in the Bay Area.
With NBA free agency officially set to begin Sunday at 6 p.m., Steph Curry was heading to New York to meet with Durant, according to The Athletic. Bob Myers, the Warriors’ GM and president of basketball operations, was also expected to meet with Durant.
When Durant was a free agent in 2016, Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala all went to the Hamptons to pitch Durant on joining their championship-winning club.
