BOSTON — After personally handling Las Vegas Summer League duties, and then a half-dozen preseason games, Brooklyn’s Kenny Atkinson finally makes his debut as an NBA head coach Wednesday against the Celtics at TD Garden.
“I’m just excited to get the preseason over with and play a real game and start getting a feel for who we are and what our team is like,’’ said Atkinson, a Huntington native. “I’m excited to see us in a real game.”
Randy Foye, who appeared set to start at off-guard, is now likely to miss Wednesday’s season opener with a mild hamstring injury.
