Not only are the Brooklyn Nets, as currently constructed, too good of a basketball team to execute the egregious levels of tanking many expected to see from them this season, but they are fun as well.
Last year’s Brooklyn Nets seemed pretty decent at 13-10, nearing Christmas before the bottom fell out. So yes, things can change in a hurry.
But even though they are just 2-3 (with a couple of home games coming up against the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons), it’s clear that this team has an identity. They play hard for Head Coach Jordi Fernández; none of the directives to pick up full-court, dive on the floor, or just play physically have become platitudes.
