EuroLeague legend J.R. Holden, who’s worked for both the Pistons and 76ers as an international scout in recent years, is being hired as the Nets director of player personnel, according to Sportando, the European hoops site.
The director of player personnel has traditionally been a scouting post in Brooklyn.
Holden won two EuroLeague titles and went to the Final Four eight straight times as a player for CSKA Moscow. He was also part of nine straight Russian league championship teams. Mikhail Prokhorov owned CSKA during most of Holden’s career. He was a teammate of former Nets assistant GM Trajan Langdon for most of his career in Moscow.
