The Nets 24-year-old point guard overcame the longest odds and won the Taco Bell Skills Challenge Saturday night, beating in order, Buddy Hield, Jamal Murray and Lauri Markannen.
After the win, Dinwiddie noted what he overcame in what has been a magical season ... despite the Nets’ tough times.
”It’s big for me to even be at All-Star Weekend considering the road that’s been in my career, very up and down, obviously being in the G League.”
Indeed, Dinwiddie was in the G-League, the NBA’s version of Overstock, only 15 months ago.
