Long Island lost Alan Williams when the Nets agreed to waive the G League’s leading rebounder so he could head to China and a much more lucrative payday. The team’s other two-way, Theo Pinson, spent the night in Brooklyn, providing depth for the injury-ridden parent club. And Treveon Graham, who hasn’t played for Brooklyn since October, began a rehab tour at Nassau Coliseum.
All that said, the biggest news in Long Island’s 123-108 win over the Erie BayHawks may have been point guard Shannon Scott’s record-setting performance. Scott recorded 20 assists, which were good for a franchise record, career high and marked an NBA G League season high.
