Apparently concerned that he would not be the starter as the Nets pursued NBA point guards, Sergio Rodriguez has elected to stay in Spain with Real Madrid. As recently as Thursday, Spanish media was reporting that his club was looking for replacements.

The Nets reported offer to Rodriguez was for two to three years. Assistant GM Trajan Langdon had reportedly scouted and spoke with Rodriguez this spring. Meanwhile, Pick also reported on another Sergey.
