Experts who have scouted Nets draftees Dzanan Musa and Rodions Kurucs told The Post not to expect instant impact from the young Europeans, but instead to anticipate long-term development that could mark both picks as steals.
Nets general manager Sean Marks has played the long game in this rebuilding process. Picking Musa, 19, and Kurucs, 20, was more of the same.
“[Musa’s] skill level is good to have. But now he’s a piece of NBA silly putty. It’s up to Kenny Atkinson and his staff to mold him into an NBA player,” ESPN analyst Fran Fraschilla said.
