Russell Westbrook, who hit the game-winning shot, puts up a shot in front of Tyler Zeller during the Nets' 109-108 loss Tuesday night.
OKLAHOMA CITY — Russell Westbrook is the reigning league MVP, and he gave a reminder of just how valuable he is Tuesday night.
Westbrook helped erase a double-digit Brooklyn lead, and then hit the eventual game-winning shot with just three seconds left, consigning the Nets to a heartbreaking 109-108 loss at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
It snapped a modest two-game winning streak for the Nets (18-30), who are 5-7 since the calendar flipped to 2018.
