Not many times do you hear about an NBA rookie that was drafted in the first-round complain about expenses. First-round picks are guaranteed to a contract, so they will see likely a lot more money than they are used to per year. But living in New York is a totally different story, as it seems to be for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
Kristina Behr of Pix11News reported that the rookie was forced to find two roommates, despite his $1.3 million salary this year. This may make some people raise their eyebrows, but at least Hollis-Jefferson is approaching the situation maturely instead of spending his money irresponsibly and going broke like tons of athletes before him.
