NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — One intriguing name has emerged in the Brooklyn Nets‘ search for a new general manager.
According to ESPN, the Nets are interested in former Toronto Raptors and Phoenix Suns general manager Bryan Colangelo to replace Billy King, who has been reassigned within the organization.
Sources told ESPN the new general manager would then pursue the top available coaching candidates, including former Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau and ex-Warriors coach Mark Jackson. Brooklyn fired coach Lionel Hollins on Sunday. Tony Brown is serving as interim head coach.
Colangelo, 50, spent 11 seasons as Phoenix’s general manager and seven years in Toronto.
