The Nets are hiring David Nurse as their shooting coach.
OK, get it out of your system: they’re hiring a Nurse, but they need a surgeon to fix their shooting.
“I think it’s a great move for them, especially with their young players such as Ronde Hollis-Jefferson and Chris McCullough,” said one scout in attendance for the Nets’ 108-86 loss to the Jazz on Friday at Barclays Center.
Hollis-Jefferson, who excited fans with his athleticism before suffering a broken foot that will keep him out until after the All-Star break, is considered part of the Nets’ future — but suffers from what has been called a “broken shot” by some.
