News and notes from day #3 of Nets training camp

I hope the Brooklyn Nets are enjoying themselves as the first week of training camp nears an end. Right now, with a preseason and regular-season record of a first-place-tying 0-0, there are smiles, there is hope, there is joy inside HSS Training Center.

On Thursday, Brooklyn scrimmaged under the watchful eye of Head Coach Jordi Fernández for the first time, playing a real 36-minute game with active coaching staffs, out-of-timeout plays, referees, the like.

“It was extremely competitive,” said Fernández. “We scrimmaged for three quarters and the guys brought it. The communication on the court, the effort to make winning plays.
