New York Liberty Head Coach Sandy Brondello is spot-on. The Atlanta Dream, her first-round opponent, are most certainly not the Las Vegas Aces. But Atlanta did play the Liberty well in round one, particularly in Game 2, when the big favorite needed to mount multiple comebacks to secure the sweep.
I wrote then that defeating the 15-25 Dream wasn’t impressive, but that their resolve was.
