The Nets requested waivers Friday on guard Tahjere McCall and forward Kamari Murphy, the two players originally signed as free agents Thursday. The two are likely bound for Long Island. McCall is a 6’5” shooting guard out of Tennessee State; Murphy a 6’8” power forward out of Miami.
Brooklyn’s roster now stands at 17 players, 14 players with full guarantees for 2017-18, one with a partial guarantee, Spencer Dinwiddie and a pair of two-way players, Yakuba Ouattara and Jacob Wiley.
By signing and waiving McCall and Murphy (a Brooklyn native), the Nets set up the players for a stint in Long Island.
