Nets Waive Ryan Boatright, Quincy Miller, Chris Daniels

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — The Brooklyn Nets have waived guard Ryan Boatright and two other players, reducing their roster to 17 players.

Forward Quincy Miller and center Chris Daniels were also waived Tuesday, the team says.

Boatright, who helped Connecticut win the 2014 NCAA championship, signed with the Nets on July 2 after going undrafted and averaged 4.3 points in four preseason games. He played just 13.9 minutes per game on a team that also has Jarrett Jack, Shane Larkin and Donald Sloan on the roster at point guard.

The 22-year-old Miller was acquired from Detroit later in July for Steve Blake, and Daniels was signed in September.
