Dwight Howard is coming to Brooklyn.
The Nets are finalizing a deal with the embattled superstar that will send Timofey Mozgov to Charlotte in return, The Post’s Brian Lewis confirmed. The deal will save the Nets $17 million in 2019-20, allowing them to create two max salary slots. Brooklyn also will deal two future second-round picks and cash, ESPN reported.
Mozgov had been openly unhappy with his lack of playing time in Brooklyn. He had two years and $33.7 million left on what is considered one of the worst contracts in basketball. Howard, who wanted to be traded to Brooklyn back in 2012, averaged 16.
