LAS VEGAS — Two major priorities for the Nets this offseason were getting another first-round pick and easing a glut at point guard. They took care of both late Thursday, trading Jeremy Lin to the Hawks and landing the Nuggets’ 2019 first-round pick in a separate deal that shipped out Isaiah Whitehead.
The Post reported last month the Nets had been shopping Lin, and that they had been looking to take Nuggets big man Kenneth Faried in a salary dump to get a pick. They executed both moves, each first reported by ESPN and confirmed by the Post.
