Caris LeVert wanted to be on the court, but he understood why that wasn’t going to happen.
LeVert, playing in just his second game Tuesday night after missing eight weeks following thumb surgery, ran up against a predetermined minutes restriction at the end of regulation and sat out the entirety of overtime in the Nets’ home loss to the Thunder, their seventh straight defeat.
“I’m a competitor. I want to play. But I trust the coaches, I trust the staff and everything like that. There’s always another game,” LeVert said after the 111-103 loss.
