LAS VEGAS — The Nets have been looking to get last year’s stash pick, Aleksandar Vezenkov — who was a teammate and friend of rookie draftee Rodions Kurucs at Barcelona — some much-needed playing time.
It looks like that’s going to happen, with Vezenkov inking a two-year contract with Greek powerhouse Olympiacos.
After the Nets drafted Vezenkov, first Barcelona coach Sito Alonso and then replacement Svetislav Pesic, opted not to play him. He and Kurucs, who had made his intentions to go to the NBA clear, both collected dust on Barcelona’s bench.
“[Vezenkov is] a good guy, a nice guy.
