CHICAGO — The Nets were playing for playoff positioning and the Bulls were tanking for lottery odds. And it sure looked that way, as Brooklyn reached the season’s midway point in style.

The Nets cruised to a 117-110 rout at United Center on Sunday, blowing the game open coming out of halftime and never looking back.

Behind inspired play from point guard D’Angelo Russell, the Nets (20-21) have gone 12-3 since a Dec. 6 players-only film session that has proven to be the turning point of their season.
