Nets mount biggest comeback of season to storm past Hawks

Modal Trigger

D'Angelo Russell, who scored a team-high 23 points, looks to make a move on Trae Young during the Nets' 116-100 win Wednesday night.

It took long enough, but once the Nets finally woke up Wednesday night, they did what they were expected to do.

After trailing by as many as 19 points in the first half, the Nets found their groove out of the break and eventually breezed past the Hawks 116-100 at Barclays Center for their biggest comeback win of the year.

The Hawks (12-29) were the only non-playoff team the Nets (21-22) had to face during their current five-game stretch, which features two games against the Celtics and one each against the Raptors and Rockets — all among the NBA’s best.
