MIAMI — The Nets desperately wanted Otto Porter Jr. before last season. Now that the Wizards have essentially put their entire roster on the trading block, do the Nets still want him? And would they make another play for him?
With John Wall’s crippling four-year, $171 million extension kicking in next year, ESPN reported the dysfunctional Wizards (5-11) are making everybody available. It seems like the Nets — who play the Heat here Tuesday — would circle back and at least kick the tires on Porter … again.
The Wizards are in cap hell, and the Nets had a hand in pushing them there.
