Nets make Bosnian scoring machine their first-round pick

The Nets have had their eye on Dzanan Musa for awhile and now he’s theirs.

Brooklyn selected the 19-year-old Bosnian wing at No. 29 in Thursday night’s NBA draft, putting to rest rumors that they were considering trading the pick.

General manager Sean Marks personally scouted Musa in March and clearly liked what he saw. Musa turned professional at 16 as the ninth-youngest player in EuroLeague history. He averaged 10.5 points in just 20 minutes on 47.5 percent shooting and 36.4 from deep last season with Crotian club Cedevita.

The Nets have the 29th, 40th and 45th picks in Thursday’s draft.
