After finishing last season with the Clippers, Dahntay Jones went into the summer unsure of his NBA future. When the Nets called to inquire about his services, the Trenton native thought it was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up.
“I always wanted to be a Net in any capacity, Brooklyn or New Jersey, to represent where I’m from for my friends and family,” Jones said. “It was a chance I thought I had to take advantage of.”
The Nets may not play in The Meadowlands anymore, as they did when Jones was growing up in Northern New Jersey, but Jones may still get the chance to play for his childhood favorite team.
