Kyrie Irving is listed as day-to-day after sustaining a facial fracture, the Nets announced on Wednesday.
Irving, one of Brooklyn’s marquee offseason signings, was sent to the hospital after taking an elbow to the left side of his face during a Tuesday pickup game.
Brooklyn GM Sean Marks said Irving’s trip to the hospital was the team doing its “due diligence” for a player who has been through numerous injuries during his career, including a broken bone in his face in 2017 while playing with the Celtics.
