PHILADELPHIA — The Nets have dealt with some nasty injuries, from Jeremy Lin’s ruptured patella in last season’s opener to Caris LeVert’s gruesome dislocated foot in November. So they have both sympathy and empathy for Jusuf Nurkic, who went down for the season in Brooklyn’s double-overtime loss in Portland on Monday.
“That’s what our guys [were] talking about in the locker room. They [were] not talking about the game or the loss, they were talking about a player was having a great game and a heck of a player and you just pray that it’s not a long-term thing and he can bounce back,” coach Kenny Atkinson said.
