Nets keep dealing with eye on 2019 free-agency splash

The Nets aren’t done wheeling and dealing for buyouts.

A week after acquiring Darrell Arthur as part of a salary dump with the Nuggets, the Nets traded the forward to the Suns for veteran Jared Dudley and a 2021 second-round pick, according to ESPN.

Arthur will be bought out of the final year of his $7.4 million contract, while Dudley (with an expiring $9.5 million contract) will “have that conversation with the Nets,” the report said. The 2021 second-round pick will be protected through No. 35.

Dudley, a 33-year-old forward, has played with five different teams across his 11 years in the league.
