Nets first-round pick Dzanan Musa got a scare Sunday in Bosnia while playing in a FIBA World Cup qualifier when he was carried off the court after suffering an injury. However, the Nets are hopeful, for a change, they escaped calamitous injury news when sources close to Musa confirmed he hurt his right ankle rather than his Achilles as was initially reported.
“Thank God, It looked bad, but I will be back for my Brooklyn, for the beginning of the training camp!!!” Musa wrote on Twitter.
Musa suffered the injury near the end of the game against the Czech Republic, checking out with 22 seconds left in an 85-80 loss.
