It may only be six games into the season for the Nets, but they’ve already hit rock bottom.
The Nets fell to the Lakers, 104-98, Friday night, in front of a sellout crowd at Barclays Center that was made up of at least 90 percent Lakers fans.
Through their first five losses, the Nets at least had the excuse of playing against playoff teams from last season. That isn’t the case anymore, though, after the Nets (0-6) couldn’t beat a Lakers team that wheezed its way into Brooklyn after opening the year with four straight losses of its own.
