The Nets started what is expected to be an offseason shakeup by hiring Ronald Nored as head coach of the D-League Long Island Nets and firing both award-winning trainer Tim Walsh and longstanding press relations VP Gary Sussman.
Sussman finished up his 23rd season with the Nets. Walsh is coming off back-to-back NBA Trainer of the Year awards and saved Mirza Teletovic’s life last year when he demanded a CT scan that turned up blood clots. Neither move has been announced by the Nets, but both have been confirmed by The Post from multiple league sources.
General manager Sean Marks also added Nored, a former Celtics assistant and Brad Stevens protégée, whose specialty is player development.
