Nets hire Hawks exec Jeff Peterson as front-office restock begins

The Nets have begun restocking their front office.

The team on Saturday it hired Jeff Peterson as its new assistant general manager to replace Trajan Langdon, who left to become GM of the Pelicans. Peterson spent seven seasons as a member of the Hawks front office, including the past three as their assistant general manager.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jeff and his wife, Lauren, to Brooklyn,” general manager Sean Marks said in a press release. “Jeff is an innovative basketball vision and will fit seamlessly within our culture. His extensive scouting and front office experience will be tremendous assets to our group as we continue to move forward.
