PHOENIX — With games against the two best teams in the Western Conference looming, the Nets felt a win over the Suns was necessary and gettable. Then they went out and got it, 104-82 Tuesday night at Talking Stick Resorts Arena.
The Nets have won back-to-back games to improve to 5-6, their best 11-game start since 2012-13 which shows how poor they have been the past few years. But Tuesday they also looked to be the hungrier, more determined team.
The Suns (2-8) had snapped a seven-game losing skid Sunday against the Grizzlies, but three of those defeats had come with Devin Booker sidelined by a strained left hamstring.
