TORONTO — The last time the Nets faced the Raptors, they broke an eight-game losing skid and turned their season around.
This time, however, Toronto did the breaking. The shorthanded Nets got hammered 122-105 before a sellout crowd of 19,800 at Scotiabank Arena.
The Nets (21-23) remained seventh in the Eastern Conference, percentage points ahead of Charlotte (19-21) pending the Hornets’ game at Portland late Friday night. But playing host to the Celtics on Monday and playing at Houston two nights later, they’ll have their work cut out for them to avoid a three-game losing skid.
