After the Nets vexed Portland players and fans by swiping popular big man Ed Davis, Saturday they went back and added sixth man Shabazz Napier.
Brooklyn handed Napier a solid birthday present, a two-year free-agent contract first reported by ESPN and confirmed by The Post.
After the Nets culled their point guard glut by dealing away both the oft-injured Jeremy Lin and the little-used Isaiah Whitehead, they added Napier to a mix that also includes D’Angelo Russell, Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert and possibly Milton Doyle, who was on a two-way deal last season and played for them in summer league.
