Nets dealt heartbreaking overtime by Grizzlies’ buzzer-beater

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The record will show that the Nets got beat by Jae Crowder’s 3-pointer at the buzzer. Reality will show they gave away this game long before his last-ditch heave.

The Nets gave it away by digging a double-digit hole in the first half. They squandered it by blowing an eight-point cushion in the final minutes of regulation. And when they look in the mirror, they’ll have nobody to blame for this 134-133 overtime loss but themselves.

After Ja Morant’s turnover with six seconds left in OT, Spencer Dinwiddie could’ve iced the game at the free-throw line.
