Federal workers and their families who’ve shouldering the burden of the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, will get some help from the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center Tuesday afternoon.
To help those impacted, Food Bank for New York City will activate a mobile food pantry at Barclays Center Tuesday to distribute food and essentials to approximately 500 families in the community who are being affected by the government shutdown, with the support of Stop & Shop’s resources and local staff.
In addition to food and essentials, families in attendance will also receive a special surprise gift from the Brooklyn Nets.
