SALT LAKE CITY — Monday was supposed to be an easy one for the Nets, a relaxing recovery day. But they flushed that with their non-effort against the Suns, one that prompted Kenny Atkinson to hit them with an unscheduled practice and a frank film session.
“Sometimes you have to pivot,” Atkinson said after the practice at Arizona State. “You have to feel the moment and I definitely think we felt the moment.”
The Nets presumably felt it when they took a 138-112 caning from Phoenix on Sunday, a game marked by a lack of energy and rife with blown defensive assignments.
