It ain’t the dog days just yet and Summer League gives us a good look at some of the guys we’ll be watching in Brooklyn and/or Long Island this upcoming season. The Nets are 2-1 thus far under assistant coach Steve Hetzel, who took Jordi Fernandez’s seat — currently coaching Team Canada in the Olympics.
One particular player that’s stood out for the Nets? Keon Johnson.
“I think Keon could be a nightmare defensively,” said Summer League head coach Steve Hetzel who worked with KJ a “We challenged him to be the absolute best defender out here in summer league and he’s taken the challenge.
