When next summer arrives, Kyrie Irving will likely be one of the most sought-after unrestricted free agents on the market. Barring an early contract extension with the Boston Celtics, Irving will hit the market looking to cash in--and possibly ready to play closer to his New Jersey roots.
According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, both local New York squads could be competing for his services.
In his weekly newsletter, Stein stated that there are "credible rumblings" that both the Knicks and Nets will go after Irving next summer.
