The Brooklyn Nets will try to get over .500 this afternoon in Las Vegas when they face the New York Knicks at the Thomas & Mack Center. The Nets dropped to 1-1 two days ago when they lost to the Los Angeles Clippers, 87-78.
There was no dramatic comeback Sunday as there had been when the Nets opened summer league with a dramatic overtime win over the Indiana Pacers on Friday. Brooklyn looked sluggish all around. Keon Johnson supplied the only reliable offense, scoring 27 points, one third of the summer squad’s output. He’s now averaging 21.
