The Long Island Nets topped the Delaware 87ers, 119-110, on Friday night at the Nassau Coliseum. It was the Nets fourth straight win and the latest in wins dominated by Long Island’s backcourt.
Isaiah Whitehead, who is on assignment with Long Island, and two-way guard Milton Doyle led the way for the Nets with a game-high-tying 25 points each. Whitehead also picked up five assists and three steals in 28 minutes, while Doyle notched three rebounds, four assists and two steals in 37 minutes.
Akil Mitchell (19 points), Kamari Murphy (12 points), James Webb III (11 points) and Jeremy Senglin (10 points) also scored in double figures for the home team, while Tahjere McCall tied a franchise record with six steals in 30 minutes off the bench.
