On draft night the narrative around the Nets was all about clearing cap space for free agents and the two first-round picks they didn’t make. But they’re happy with the two second-rounders they did.
Nets GM Sean Marks saw projected first-rounder Nic Claxton of Georgia fall to them to open the second round. Then they added UCLA point guard Jaylen Hands with the 56th pick, acquired in a draft-night deal. And they unveiled both Monday at their HSS Training Center.
“I feel like God, he has a way of just making everything right,” Claxton said.
