Perhaps it's better Mason Plumlee is on the other side of the world.
With his name in trade rumors, the Nets center is far away in Vietnam, part of an NBA Cares trip to the Southeast Asian nation. On Friday, Plumlee visited students from Le Hong Phong High School in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon, where he ran basketball practice with almost 100 students from the school. Vietnam's Jr. NBA is sponsoring the events.
Vietnam has become a regular stop for the NBA in its off-season world tours. Last summer, Kelly Olynyk of the Celtics made the trip.
