CROMWELL — Donny Marshall, the former UConn and NBA player now a commentator/analyst for Brooklyn Nets, NBA and college basketball games, delivered a message of hope at a First Tee of Connecticut anti-bullying workshop Monday night at TPC River Highlands.
Marshall, a victim of bullying while growing up outside Seattle in the 1980s, is in his second year on First Tee's board of directors and was speaking to an anti-bullying group for the first time since last spring. He is optimistic that bullying can one day be eradicated.
Marshall spoke with conviction and composure, although he said he was a little too emotional in his first address in 2014.
