Argentina ran into undefeated Lithuania late Thursday night and came away losers, 71-68. The Argentines are now 2-1 in group play. Luis Scola scored 12 points, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out four assists in the contest, his worst performance to date.
Scola was 5-of-11, including 1-of-3 from deep in 30 minutes. Manu Ginobili scored 22 but missed four crucial free throws late and the blue-and-white couldn't recover at the end.
Mindaugas Kuzminskas, the 6'8" forward the Knicks signed this summer, had a game-high 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting. He accounted for nine of the points in Lit run late in the third quarter.
